Tasting

Body

The weight or fullness of the tea on your palate — 'thin', 'medium', 'full'.

A first-flush Darjeeling has a thin, bright body; an Assam, a full malty body; a ripe pu-erh, a heavy molasses-like body. Body comes from extracted polysaccharides and amino acids, not just tannins.
