Two Leaves and a Bud

The classic ideal pluck — the topmost unopened bud plus the two youngest leaves below it.

This combination has the highest concentration of aromatic compounds, amino acids, and the famous 'tippy' downy hairs. It is the standard of fine plucking in China, India, Sri Lanka and Japan alike.
