Silver Needle (Bai Hao Yin Zhen)

/by-HOW yin-JEN/

The aristocrat of white tea — only the unopened buds, covered in silvery down.

Made exclusively from buds plucked in early spring in Fuding, Fujian. The cup is pale gold, lightly floral, with a sweet melon finish. Ages beautifully — a 10-year-old Silver Needle becomes amber, honeyed and deeply soothing.
