Harvest & Flushes

Second Flush

Late spring / early summer plucking, famously round and 'muscatel' in Darjeeling.

After the first flush, bushes push another wave of leaves. In Darjeeling, second-flush is the moneymaker — fuller-bodied, fruit-forward, with a signature muscatel grape note caused by tea-leaf jassid insects nibbling the leaves.
