Brewing

Western Brewing

Brewing style with less leaf, more water and longer steeps — a single full mug or pot at a time.

Roughly 2–3 g of leaf per 200 ml of water for 3–5 minutes, once or twice. It is the everyday default in Europe, India and the Americas. Less revealing than gongfu but vastly more practical for an office mug.
