Shou Pu-erh (Ripe)

Wet-piled pu-erh — earthy, dark, smooth, ready to drink young.

Shou (熟) means 'ripe'. Invented in 1973 to mimic decades of sheng aging in two months. Tastes of damp earth, mushroom, dark molasses; thick mouthfeel. The everyday pu-erh of Hong Kong and Guangzhou tea houses.
